hundreds of km for hiking and cycling

RideCzech Guesthouse is situated on the outskirts of the town of Jablunkov, which is surrounded by beautiful hilly countryside and has a refreshing clean river running through it. There are several routes starting in Jablunkov that lead to traditional mountain tourist cottages. Rather than using your car to get to popular attractions intended for the masses, get on a bike or set out on foot and enjoy a day out that you will remember for a long time.

At RideCzech, we are always happy to recommend a hike, a bike ride or even plan your whole day based on your preferences. Whether you fancy climbing some hills to enjoy stunning views, a light walk and a really tasty lunch or an eventful day around the industrial Ostrava, there are always plenty of ideas we can supply you with. And if that's not enough, spend each day in a different country as Poland and Slovakia are only a few kilometers away.

ABOUT US

RideCzech is the result of our passion for bikes, trails and the region we call home

We are an English-Czech family who like to spend time on bikes. Cycling isn't seen only as a hobby in our home - it is our way of life. We ride in every season, and some of us even on snow and ice.

The name RideCzech came way before the business ever took off. Initially, we aimed to accommodate riders from abroad and guide them around the Beskydy Mountains, introducing them to our countryside, culture and cuisine. When our boys were born, we dropped the guiding and made it easier for ourselves by offering self-catering accommodation for families with children, or in fact for anyone who wished to explore this part of the world of their own accord.

It wasn't until later on that we introduced the bike service and this year, now that the boys are becoming more independent, we'd like to start guiding our guests again as well as share our knowledge and experience from our bikepacking trips around the Czech Republic, which we've very much enjoyed together with our children. We have plenty of tips for anyone who enjoys days out on MTB, gravel or road bike, and also for those who feel more adventurous and aren't afraid of spending days roaming around the country. Let us take you to the best locations that we've discovered and that are more than likely to take your breath away.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Through the lens of our guests

More than just accommodation

RideCzech isn't just a place where you can spend the night. We strive to help our guests truly enjoy their holiday by offering what we do best, be it guiding or fixing their bikes. There are times when just a simple chat with a cup of localy roasted coffee and a piece of our homemade cake does the trick.

BIKE GUIDING

Explore Beskydy with someone who is at home here

Whether you are our guests or not, make sure you book a day or two with us and we can take you the most interesting places in this area. Don't worry about the weather or your fitness level, we are happy to adapt to make the ride right for you. If you feel like an adventurous hilly ride in the rain or a leisurely tootle around the nearby villages, we can make anything exciting and any sort of ride can teach you plenty about this area and the way local people live or used to live. The aim is for you to enjoy your ride and for us to take care of the route and the fun stuff.

BIKEPACKING

Bikepacking in Czechia

Do you know what the best thing about bikepacking is? The freedom! When you go by yourself, you choose your own route, your own places to eat and sleep. With us, you don't even have to worry about that. All you need to decide is how long you want to travel for and when you'd like to set off. If you are a group of friends, we can tailor the experience to your preferences and if you are a single person, you can join a group of other single enthusiasts, who are eager to spend three to seven days in wierdly pleasant discomfort. There is no need to worry about getting lost as we only take you out on routes that we have ridden ourselves, but beware that there are always new sections to be discovered should you be in need of a little adventure!

BIKE SERVICE AND CUSTOM BUILDS

When your bike needs a little TLC, the mechanic is just round the corner

The RideCzech team is very versatile and should your little two-wheeled friend require some tuning or tweaking, we have the right man for the job. Many a holiday has been saved over the years thanks to his knowledge and expertise.
